A Note From the Road: Thanksgiving

Landscape photograph of Arches National Park.
Dear Henry,

It is Thanksgiving today.  A day to be grateful for all that we have and to eat. A lot.

It is good to be grateful.  Thankfulness has many benefits besides creating optimism.

Grateful thinking can increase your immunity, reduce symptoms of physical pain, and lower blood pressure.

Thankful thinking also encourages generosity and compassion - something the world needs much more of.

While taking a moment today to list all of the things you are thankful for is a great start, establishing a daily practice of acknowledging the good will bring even more cumulative benefits to your health and your outlook.
