Fine Print and Funeral Flowers

Dear Henry,

I have always associated 'mum's with funerals, so they aren't my favorite flower.

They were also the last flowers I got from Fish.

Years ago, Fish sent me a bouquet, that closely resembled a funeral arrangement.  Attached to this was a card on which Fish had written: "To symbolize our relationship".

I spent the entire day trying to figure out the meaning behind the whole ordeal.

As it turns out, he ordered roses but, at the bottom of the order, was the caveat: "Substitutions May Be Made".

The fine print will get you every time.

I still don't know what the florist was thinking when he/she made that particular substitution.

Fish won't buy flowers anymore, not after that.
